Hello! I am Kate, and The Beautiful, Useful Project is my place for documenting our decluttering, home-beautification process.
The project was inspired by this quote:
Instead of just being inspired by this quote, I am taking it as a challenge. Can we really have nothing in our home that isn’t beautiful or useful?
I have always wanted to be organized, but I never really have been (just ask any of my old roommates!). Born with a messy, hoarding disposition, I’m doing my best to cut down on clutter and make our home a great place to be for our family.
That’s why I’m listing one thing for sale each day. Things that won’t sell will be donated, recycled, or if necessary, pitched.
Here I will share with you what works, and what doesn’t work. What sells, and what doesn’t sell. How to get the stuff out of your house as easily and as profitably as possible.
All proceeds from the sales of my items will go towards paying of the dreaded student loan. Which is a huge piece of financial clutter in and of itself.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you’ll join me in your own decluttering adventure!
